This Cookie and Similar Technologies Policy explains how GxReel uses cookies, software development kits (SDKs), pixels, tags, local storage, device identifiers, and related technologies when you use our website, mobile applications, and related online services.
GxReel is operated by Hong Kong Hanyunxing Culture Technology Limited ("GxReel," "we," "us," or "our").

1. Scope
This Policy applies to GxReel websites, mobile applications, web pages, account services, video playback services, payment flows, promotional pages, and other online services that link to or reference this Policy.
Traditional browser cookies are mainly used on websites. Mobile applications may instead use SDKs, device identifiers, application storage, push-notification tokens, and similar technologies that perform comparable functions. In this Policy, the term "cookies and similar technologies" includes all of these technologies unless the context requires otherwise.
2. What Cookies and Similar Technologies Are
Cookies are small text files stored on your browser or device when you visit a website. Similar technologies may store or access information on your browser, application, or device to recognize a session, remember settings, measure service performance, prevent fraud, or support advertising.
These technologies may be operated by GxReel or by third parties acting on our behalf or providing their own services. Third-party technologies may be governed by the third party's own privacy and cookie policies.
3. Categories of Technologies We Use
3.1 Strictly Necessary Technologies
These technologies are required to provide the service, maintain security, complete transactions, or remember your privacy choices. They may be used for:
account authentication and session management;
email verification and secure sign-in;
fraud prevention, abuse detection, and account protection;
payment and subscription processing;
load balancing, network routing, content delivery, and service availability;
video playback, entitlement checks, and content-access controls;
remembering cookie-consent and privacy choices; and
detecting technical errors and maintaining service integrity.
Strictly necessary technologies cannot normally be disabled through the GxReel cookie settings because the relevant service may not function properly without them. You may still block them through your browser or device, but doing so may prevent GxReel from operating correctly.
3.2 Functional Technologies
Functional technologies remember choices and provide enhanced features, including:
language and country or region selections;
subtitle, playback, and display preferences;
device and browser preferences;
watching-session continuity; and
other user-interface settings.
If you reject or disable functional technologies, some preferences may not be remembered and some features may operate less efficiently.
3.3 Analytics and Performance Technologies
Analytics and performance technologies help us understand how GxReel is used and how well it operates. Depending on the tools enabled at the relevant time, they may measure:
pages and screens visited;
dramas and episodes viewed;
traffic sources and campaign referrals;
video-start, buffering, playback, and completion performance;
application errors, crashes, and diagnostic events;
feature usage and navigation patterns; and
registration, Coin-purchase, subscription, and other conversion flows.
We may introduce or change analytics providers as the Services develop. Where applicable law requires consent, non-essential analytics technologies will not be activated until you consent.
3.4 Advertising and Marketing Technologies
Advertising and marketing technologies may be used, where enabled and permitted, to:
measure whether an advertisement led to a visit, registration, Coin purchase, or subscription;
understand campaign effectiveness;
limit repeated advertising;
create or use audience segments;
show contextual advertising; and
show personalized advertising where the user has provided any consent required by law.
GxReel may in the future enable advertising measurement or audience tools provided by platforms such as Meta or TikTok. Such tools may receive browser, device, campaign, and event information when enabled. They will be used only in accordance with this Policy, our Privacy Policy, applicable law, and any required consent or device permission.
If you decline personalized advertising or advertising tracking, you may still receive non-personalized or contextual advertising.
4. Purposes of Use
We may use cookies and similar technologies to:
operate and secure GxReel;
keep users signed in and maintain account sessions;
remember language, region, subtitle, playback, and privacy preferences;
deliver video content and maintain playback performance;
process Coin purchases and subscriptions and prevent payment fraud;
maintain watch history and service continuity;
measure traffic, performance, errors, and feature use;
improve recommendations, content discovery, and user experience;
measure and improve advertising campaigns where enabled;
detect scraping, piracy, automation, promotional abuse, and unauthorized access; and
comply with legal, security, payment, and operational requirements.
5. Third-Party Technologies
Depending on the Services and tools enabled, third-party technologies may be provided by or relate to:
cloud, transcoding, storage, and content-delivery providers, including AWS and CloudFront;
payment providers, including Stripe and PayPal;
application stores and payment systems, including Apple App Store and Google Play;
identity and login providers, including Apple, Google, and Facebook;
advertising and campaign-measurement providers, including Meta and TikTok where enabled;
security, fraud-prevention, customer-support, analytics, or performance providers that may be introduced in the future; and
other service providers necessary to operate GxReel.
The specific providers and technologies in use may change as GxReel develops. The cookie-preference interface or relevant service notice may provide additional details about non-essential technologies that are active at a particular time.
Third parties may process information under their own policies. GxReel does not control the duration or operation of third-party technologies placed directly by a third party, but we will take reasonable steps to configure our use consistently with applicable law and your choices.
6. Cookie Consent Banner
Where consent is required by applicable law, GxReel will display a cookie-consent banner or comparable interface before activating non-essential cookies or similar technologies.
The banner will provide options such as:
Accept All;
Reject Non-Essential; and
Manage Preferences.
Closing the banner by selecting the close symbol does not constitute consent to non-essential cookies. Unless and until you affirmatively consent, non-essential analytics, advertising, and marketing technologies that require consent will remain disabled.
Strictly necessary technologies may be used without consent where permitted because they are required to provide the service, secure the account, complete transactions, or remember your privacy choices.
7. Managing and Withdrawing Your Choices
You may manage or withdraw your cookie choices at any time through the Cookie Settings link made available on the GxReel website or through relevant privacy settings where available in the application.
You may also control technologies by:
changing browser cookie settings;
deleting stored cookies and local data;
blocking third-party cookies;
changing device privacy or advertising settings;
resetting or limiting an advertising identifier;
denying application tracking permission where supported; and
disabling push notifications or other permissions through device settings.
Withdrawing consent will stop future use of the relevant non-essential technologies where technically possible. It does not invalidate processing that occurred before withdrawal. Some previously stored cookies may remain until deleted, expire, or are removed through your browser or device settings.
If you block or delete cookies, some GxReel features may not function correctly, and preferences or login status may be lost.
8. Mobile Application Technologies
In mobile applications, GxReel may use SDKs, application storage, device identifiers, push-notification tokens, crash and performance tools, attribution tools, and fraud-prevention technologies.
Where an application or operating system requires permission for tracking, advertising identifiers, notifications, or other device access, GxReel will request the relevant permission before using the protected feature.
The availability of an in-app privacy setting may depend on the application version, operating system, and technologies currently enabled. Device-level controls remain available where supported.
9. Personalized Advertising and Younger Users
Personalized advertising and cross-context or cross-application advertising tracking will be used only where implemented, permitted by law, and subject to any consent or device permission required in the user's jurisdiction.
GxReel does not intend to use cross-context behavioral advertising or advertising-data sharing for users known to be under 16, unless permitted by applicable law and supported by the required authorization. GxReel is not directed to children under 13.
10. Retention
The retention period for a cookie or similar technology depends on its function and whether it is operated by GxReel or a third party. Unless a shorter period applies or a longer period is required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or dispute resolution, we generally apply the following periods:
session and authentication cookies: until logout, browser closure, session expiry, or another security timeout;
language, region, subtitle, playback, and functional preferences: up to 12 months;
cookie-consent and preference records: up to 12 months, after which we may request a renewed choice;
analytics and advertising cookies controlled by GxReel: up to 13 months; and
local security, fraud-prevention, or transaction records: for the period reasonably necessary for the relevant security, payment, or compliance purpose.
Third-party technologies may use different retention periods stated in their own policies or displayed in the cookie-preference interface. We will use reasonable efforts to select and configure third-party tools consistently with applicable law.
11. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers provide a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is not a single universally accepted standard for interpreting this signal, GxReel may not respond to Do Not Track signals unless required by applicable law.
Where required by applicable United States state privacy law, and where GxReel's use of advertising or analytics technologies constitutes a sale, sharing, or use for targeted advertising, we will recognize legally valid browser-based opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control, to the extent technically and legally required.
12. International Processing
Cookies and similar technologies may cause information to be processed in countries or regions outside your place of residence. Additional information about international transfers, service providers, and safeguards is provided in our Privacy Policy.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in technology, service providers, legal requirements, advertising practices, or GxReel features. The updated Policy will display a revised "Last Updated" date.
If a change materially affects the use of non-essential cookies or similar technologies, we may provide notice through the website, application, cookie banner, account notice, or another reasonable method. Where required, we will request renewed consent.
